How to do manual character spacing/kerning of single character pair in textblock

Hi There! I'm used to work with Indesign and switched to Scribus some months ago with success. I like the software.

But now there is some feature I can't seem to find in the docs or when searching here or on google, so hopefully this feature exists in Scribus and somebody can tell me how to do this (preferably by keyboard shortcuts):

I want to manually change the spacing between two characters in a text block by moving a single character with some keyboard shortcut. I know there is a manual spacing feature in Scribus, but to my understanding that changes the spacing for all characters at once, so that's not what I'm looking for.

Anybody here know if it is possible to move certain characters/change spacing on a line in Scribus? (btw I'm using Scribus 1.5.3)

Welcome to the forum Fribleski.

You can change the tracking for a single character-pair by placing the cursor between the characters and changing the Manual Tracking setting in "Text / Advanced Settings" in the Properties Palette.

I don't think there's a keyboard shortcut for that, although you can use the scroll wheel on a mouse to change it quite easily.

Alright, thanks Garry! That I didn't think of that myself, that is exactly what I was looking for! Would be great if there would be some keyboard shortcut for it in the future, but this does the job perfectly!  :)

You're welcome.
