How to put the same image in multiple frames simultaneously
« on: August 14, 2017, 02:24:33 am »
I use Scribus to create labels for my jam business. My husband wrote a script that runs in the command line and generates my labels with the proper names, ingredients, and dates. But we haven't been able to figure out a quick way to insert the nutrition labels since they are pictures (.jpg) and not text. Currently, I'm going through and putting them in one at a time after the rest of the label information has been generated. But when I have really large productions runs in a specific week, that takes forever. Is there a way to either select multiple image frames and "get image" so that they all have the same image? Or even better, to use Scribus Generator to find the proper image files and put them in the correct places?

hi

you should be able to do that with the scribus generator:

https://github.com/berteh/ScribusGenerator#dynamic-images

there are some details in the description and it promises that more is shown in the linked video tutorial.

is it what you are looking for?

I'll have my husband try that and see if it works. Thank you.
