« on: April 24, 2017, 03:37:41 pm »
Hello,

is there something similar like the former Libre Graphics Magazine going on?

Thanks and Regards,

GIMP Magazine https://gimpmagazine.org/ used be to a good read but there hasn't been a new issue for over a year, which is a shame.

You might be interested in https://pixls.us/ where their goal is to "provide tutorials, workflows and a showcase for high-quality photography using Free/Open Source Software." It's not in a magazine format and it's not about design in general, but it's for open source software and has a lot of very good and interesting advice.

The best I can think of is:

http://libregraphicsworld.org/

Which is not the successor of the magazine, but somehow the original implementation of the magazine idea...

It's maintained by Alexandre Prokoudine and I wonder if he would like to have people contributing to his efforts...
(During the last few years he has been focusing more on pushing the news from the projects themselves and produced fewer articles on this platform).

Personally, I would be interested in contributing to a magazine that is more geared towards the life of the projects in the libre graphics world rather than creating an artsy/research magazine on libre graphics practices.
But I'm not a good contributor... and, most of all, I don't want to do it alone.
