Control the Ruler Display on Startup
« on: February 18, 2016, 04:30:34 am »
Is there a way to set up Scribus so the Ruler does not display on startup?

Yes, I can turn it off via the View menu.
But right now I would like the Ruler to be turned off by default.

yes, there is – uncheck the box 'show rulers' under 'preferences' → 'display', and the rulers won't show up on new standard documents.

like many settings in scribus, it's written in the file (this time in the standard template), so it affects only new standard documents. for every existing file you need to change the view once.
as it's part of the file, new documents from a specific template may still show rulers. here you have to decide if it's worth to change the template, otherwise you uncheck the box for every file…
