How to edit an imported Page

Hi Everybody,

I'm just starting out with Scribus but with a pretty big job do...
In order to learn Scribus i did a few pages in separate .sla files.
That went well i i thought i got most of the concepts.

Now i wanted to put those pages together which worked as well, with the Page -> Import... function.
I merged them in a new .sla file and added a few more pages.
Unfortunately some of those pages weren't quite ready and i want to edit them.
But that doesn't seem to work, not ever with what i have tried.

So you can't have premade pages that can add to a final document unless your pages are already final or am i just missing some thing? Maybe the workflow should be different too.
However it would have been nice if those imported pages were linked to the original files. So changes to those files would be mirrored in the merged file.

There is no difference between an imported page and a page originally created in the document. You problem might be that you have used different layers or that some items are locked.

Thank you for you answer.
But, please look at those two files.
The file where the first page is imported and the first page "front.sla"
The Scribus install is just an out of box 1.4.5 Version.

The second page in the merged File is also imported and it's also not editable.
The locked option isn't used anywere.

Edit:
I got it. You ware right with the layers.
There are two layers in the layer manager.
Somehow i got the Layers "Background" and "Hintergrund" which is background in german...
and i had to click the the right layer to modify its contents.

But this shows me another aspect of how powerful scribus is.
