How does Scribus use memory
« on: May 11, 2014, 01:19:46 pm »
If a Scribus document contains lots of image as well as pages, are they stored in the graphics card memory or the computer memory while the document is open? In other words, does Scribus use much of the graphics card memory or swap in and out with the main computer memory? Also, what about 'undos'

I am having to change my card and have a limited choice which come down to a choice of a card with 2GB or one with 4GB of memory. The latter is much more expensive but apart from more memory has features that I do not need. Logic says buy the 4GB card for the memory but why waste money on features I do not need?
Absolute space exits no longer; there is only space relative to a certain initial position of the body. (Henri Poncaire. 1854-1912)
